Days outside the UK, counted

When you extend, settle or later apply to be British, the forms ask for every trip out of the UK with its dates. Add each one here as you go, and you’ll have the count and the list ready.

Only whole days away are counted: the day you leave and the day you come back aren’t, as in the Home Office’s guidance. The counter doesn’t say whether your absences are within any rule; for that, see the continuous residence guidance or ask a regulated adviser. Information, not immigration advice.
