What the rules say
Fees

The Immigration Health Surcharge
The surcharge is £1,035 a year, paid with the application: £3,105 for the 33-month visa from outside the UK and £2,587.50 for the 30-month extension. The fiancé visa pays none, because it is for six months or less from outside the UK. If the application is refused, the surcharge is refunded; the application fee isn’t.

Decision times and faster decisions
Decisions usually take about 12 weeks from outside the UK and about 8 weeks from inside. Where offered, priority costs £500 more and super priority £1,000 more.
