Does the fiancé visa pay the Immigration Health Surcharge?
Quick answer
No. The fiancé visa is for six months from outside the UK, and visas of six months or less from outside the UK pay no surcharge. The visa fee is £2,064; the surcharge is paid with the partner visa application after the wedding.
What the rules say
The Immigration Health Surcharge
The surcharge is £1,035 a year, paid with the application: £3,105 for the 33-month visa from outside the UK and £2,587.50 for the 30-month extension. The fiancé visa pays none, because it is for six months or less from outside the UK. If the application is refused, the surcharge is refunded; the application fee isn’t.
